What a great life Captains and Vice-Captains have as they move around on behalf of the Club!

Lady Captain Mary O’Connell is pictured here with no less a golfing personage than Padraig Harrington. This was in the Holiday Inn Dublin City Hotel and the occasion was the launch of the 3 Ts - Turning the Tide on Suicide in Ireland. - held on February 3 this year.

Last year’s Men&’s Captain, Donal Casey, is seen socialising with Paul McGinley at the opening of the new clubhouse in the Grange in May 2003.

Spring 2004: Diamond Anniversary Festival Week

This year marks our Diamond Anniversary, an event that cannot be allowed to go unnoticed. So our Committee decided, after a long time spent in seclusion and without food or beverage, to adopt radical measures.

Our normal Festival week will be replaced by a Festival, which will be held on four separate days throughout the golfing year. Dates are as follows and should be copied into diaries:

Festival Day 1: Monday, May 24
Festival Day 2: Monday, June 21
Festival Day 3: Monday, July 19
Festival Day 4: Monday, September 6

This, naturally, means there will be NO Festival Week in July.
